Dear Mrs Clapham

On behalf of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of the Rand, the committee would like to extend a sincere thank you, for providing the generous sponsorship commitment towards the club’s 2nd Championship Show, and the Open & Qualifying Show, leading up to this prestigious event.

The beautifully rosettes and colour show catalogues complemented the show.

Thank you for sponsoring the club show and annual KUSA fees.

Thank you for making a difference.

No one can do everything

BUT

everyone can do something

Dear Audrey Hauptfleisch and Christopher.

On behalf of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of the Rand, the committee would like to extend a sincere thank you, for providing the generous sponsorship commitment towards the club’s 2nd Championship Show, and the Open & Qualifying Show, leading up to this prestigious event.

The club was voted South Africa’s No.1 Cavalier Club show and No.2  Speciality Club Show, due to your stature representing Royal Canin at the events.

The Royal Canin prizes for the Cavaliers and their care givers, will make everyone feel like Best In Show winners.

The club is a young club, only 7 years old, however, the 2010 committee have learnt from the best, such as yourselves.

We hope you find your participation a useful opportunity to interact with the Cavalier care givers and their Cavaliers.

As you know, without Royal Canin’s sponsorship, events like this, would not be possible.

The networking opportunities are very valuable to us all and the committee appreciates the dedication, commitment, energy, back ache and stress levels you have devoted to the club and we look forward to sharing the club’s success with you and Royal Canin.

I first started showing in 1973 and started judging in the early 80's and a few years later became an all-breeds judge.

I have judged on a number of occasions in Australia, also New Zealand, India, Argentina, Brazil, Philippines, Namibia,  Zambia, Zimbabwe and of course extensively in South Africa.

My great love are my Shetland Sheepdogs and I have bred and owned in excess of 30 champions a lot of which have been group and Best in Show winners. I have also made up champions in Standard Poodles, American Cocker spaniels, Boxers and Rough collies.

I became closely acquainted with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels when I had an association with Tom and Marie Lawson must be in the region of about 20 years ago.  I particularly remember a tricolour dog I was fond of named Geordie, he always gave me such a greeting and spent a lot of his time sitting on my lap.

I really look forward to judging this delightful breed.

Avril  V. Ventress

On behalf of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of the Rand it gives me great pleasure to welcome all our exhibitors and visitors, especially those attending for the first time.

2009 has seen the club mature and refine its purpose.  There is clarity of focus and a renewed level of assurance that comes with  honorable success  and ethical achievement within the club, which is pleasing to me as Chairman.

Club members, with integrity towards upholding the club’s Code Ethics and  loyalty towards the Cavalier  King Charles Spaniel breed, have been responsible towards ensuring the success of  the club’s  2nd Championship Show.

The 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 committee have focused on building a club  foundation, for the best interest of the breed and today demonstrates this.

Thank you to Mrs Avril Ventress in honouring our club,  with her expertise.

We are deeply indebted to ROYAL CANIN for the prestigious prizes that have  been  sponsored.

Thank  you to our Ring Stewart Pat Barford and  Mr Percy Green (KUSA Rep.), for giving of  their time to  be with us  today.

On a more personal note, it is really necessary to acknowledge, gratefully, that it is the volunteers in our Club, who make it such a prestigious club. The club has achieved a tremendous amount this year, and a tremendous amount of  people  have been involved. I would like to thank  the show committee members for  all  their  hard work. Jean Peden, Tania Clapham, Christelle  Streak, Mrs. Marietha Laubscher, Morag Barkhuizen and Lin Van Onselen, who went  beyond call  of duty.

We have enjoyed organizing this show for the Cavaliers and Yourselves. I am pleased to be associated with a TEAM that is both Efficient and Effective.

“Efficiency is doing things right, effectiveness is doing the right thing.”

A big thank you to YOU, our  exhibitors, for your support.

We hope you have a  successful day with  us, and a safe journey home.
